Static temperature rise testing is the most direct means to inspect the performance of high-current slip rings, providing a quick reflection of the slip ring’s fundamental and essential performance. If the temperature rise testing conditions do not match the slip ring’s operating conditions, it can easily lead to slip ring damage. For slip rings with low-cost requirements, testing requirements can be reduced based on the equipment’s operating conditions.
